Besides co-chairing the ETP for Nanomedicine, I am currently the head of the innovation and cooperation management within Siemens Healthcare Strategy. Prior to this assignment I was R&D manager for detectors within the Computed Tomography business unit from 2004 to 2007. From 2003 to 2004 I was responsible for innovation and workflow management in the Computed Tomography unit of Siemens Healthcare. I joined Siemens in 2000 after graduating from the University of Heidelberg and the Max-Planck-Institute for Nuclear Physics in Heidelberg. During my scientific career I worked at CERN and at the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory.

I am married with three children.
