The EuroNanoMedicine 2009 conference took place between the 28 and 30 of September in Bled (Slovenia).
This meeting merged the participants of 3 ongoing large European projects in the area of nanomedicine, namely NanoEar, MediTrans and NanoBioPharmaceutics.
The meeting brought together more than 250 scientists and producers of nanoproducts in imaging, drug targeting and therapy.
Keynote speakers included Chrit Moonen (Université de Bordeaux), Marie-Jose Alonso (University of Santiago de Compostella), Alex Florence (University of London), Hans Hofstraat (Philips Research Laboratories) and many others who gave short presentations on dedicated issues such as medical imaging, vaccine delivery and future perspectives for nanomedicines.Patrick Boisseau, CEA Leti, on behalf of Dr. Jürgen Simon, co-chairman of the ETP Nanomedicine, gave a presentation about the ETP's and industries perspective on nanomedicine.
