Give your opinion on the Nanotech Research Code of Conduct
Up one levelThe European Commission has opened a public consultation in order to receive new input to the work programme.
The European Commission has opened a public consultation in order to receive input from all people and organisations involved or interested in nanosciences and nanotechnologies research in Europe, and notably research, policy makers, industry, media and civil society organisations.
On 7th February 2008, the European Commission adopted a recommendation for a Code of Conduct for Responsible Nanoscience and Nanotechnologies Research. This was followed on 26 September 2008 by Council Conclusions on Responsable Nanosciences and Nanotechnologies. Both documents suggested that the Commission recommendation and the Code of Conduct should be revised after two years. Therefore the new revision is currently planned for February 2010 and the results of this consultation will contribute to that.
The consultation will close on 3 January 2010.
