ETP Nanomedicine Newsletter Nr. 1/2011

Content of this newsletter issue
As you know, the European Commission is currently collecting input for drafting the next Framework Programme (FP8) and for setting up other initiatives in the frame of the European Innovation Union. This issue is of course of great importance for the Nanomedicine community and we decided to release a brief first newsletter in 2011 focusing specifically on this topic.
ETP Nanomedicine Consultation on input to Framework Programme 8 and other EC initiatives in the area of Nanomedicine
In order to be able to give substantial input to the drafting of the next Framework Programme of the EC, the ETPN is now starting a new round of collecting input from the Nanomedicine community at large. To make things easier, we thus set up an ONLINE QUESTIONNAIRE to gather the ideas and opinions of the Nanomedicine stakeholders
The deadline for filling in this questionnaire is 11. February 2011
After this deadline, the Executive Board of the ETPN will analyse the collected input and draft an initial input paper which shall then be circulated to the community in mid February and subsequently be submitted to the European Commission towards the end of February.
To access the questionnaire please follow this link:

We will be delighted to receiving as much substantial suggestions and solid information as possible. Please keep in mind that all suggestions should be as concrete as possible as it will be very difficult to propose very vague or “futuristic” ideas to the EC. We will do our best to integrate as many ideas and suggestions into a coherent concept.
Thank you in advance for your contributions!

CLINAM 2011
This year, the ETP Nanomedicine is strongly contributing to the preparation of the European Conference for Clinical Nanomedicine - CLINAM 2011 - by organising a session and a panel discussion on industrial perspectives in Nanomedicine as well as a flash presentation session allowing participants to present their ideas for Collaborative Research Projects and to find partners to join their efforts.
The CLINAM 2011 conference will take place in Basel, Switzerland on 23rd - 25th May 2011. For further information, please visit: www.clinam.org
3rd EURONANOMED CALL OPEN
EuroNanoMed is launching its 3rd Joint Call for funding of transnational innovative research projects in Nanomedicine. This call will enable scientists from European and associated countries to establish collaborative research consortia spanning multiple disciplines.
